Alfredo Lopes is a Portuguese-Australian musician/composer/arranger/educator and has been performing and writing music repertoire since his Associate Diploma of Jazz Studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1993. In 2012 he completed an Honours exegesis at Southern Cross University, Lismore. In 2021 he completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts exegesis in composition at Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Alfredo has worked with Jeff Martin (guitarist/singer-songwriter for "The Tea Party"), Ben Gillies (musician/drummer for "Silverchair"), acclaimed singer-songwriter, Gabriel Vargas, Wilma La (Eurovision); and recorded with sound engineers Paul Pilsneniks and Jordan Power, amongst others. He has also written and recorded music for the ABC television series "East of Everything". Alfredo has co-led music ensembles with some of Australia’s best jazz musicians including George Golla, Judy Bailey, Mark Isaacs, and John Morrison.
