Alfredo Lopes is a Portuguese-Australian musician/composer/arranger/educator and has been performing and writing music repertoire since his Associate Diploma of Jazz Studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1993. In 2012 he completed an Honours exegesis at Southern Cross University, Lismore. He is now at Queensland Conservatorium of Music, developing a Doctorate of Musical Arts exegesis in composition. Alfredo has worked with Jeff Martin (guitarist/singer-songwriter for "The Tea Party"), Ben Gillies (musician/drummer for "Silverchair"), and acclaimed singer-songwriter, Gabriel Vargas; and recorded with sound engineers Paul Pilsneniks and Jordan Power, amongst others. He has also co-led music ensembles with some of Australia’s best jazz musicians including George Golla, Judy Bailey, Mark Isaacs, and John Morrison.
